Not very funny Not very funny, too much honesty not enough humor. Also kindof written as a stay at home wife with husband now retired- not quite the situation for the person I was buying for. Didnât like it enough to give as a gift as planned.
Do you enjoy never laughing? Then this is for you! Huge disappointment. I guess that’s what you get when you buy a book online and can’t see what’s inside. I just based it mainly on others reviews. One review compared it to The Far Side which I used to love. But uhhhhh….no. I realize everyone’s definition of what’s considered funny is going to be different. Great gift, lots of laughs Got this for my mom upon announcement of my dad’s much deserved upcoming retirement. They ended up going through the whole book cackling together standing up all at once.It was a big hit. Sense of humor is reminiscent of Far Side.
